1914-D Lincoln Wheat Cent – PCGS MS 65BN – CAC
Probably the nicest “14-D” cent we’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. A beautiful “Nestle milk chocolate brown” color, with definite hints of red around the devices, especially on the obverse. An extremely creamy and attractive example of a truly scarce coin. According to PCGS, only 23 finer in brown and less than 200 in Red, Red-Brown and Brown combined. CAC has given the “Green Bean” to 13 coins in 64 BN and I doubt they are as attractive as this coin. The only identifiable distraction on this copper coin, keeping it from grading higher (in my opinion) is one small black spot on the “T” of CENT on the reverse. A proud addition to anyone’s collection of high grade Lincoln cents.
